It still looks not as crisp to me as before, but maybe it is because I am not wearing my glasses! LOL

It is more likely because my computer has a fairly big screen so if I lower the definition the pixels become visible...

Anyway thanks so much for the help, now I'll be able to downsize my pics for the forum! Yay! :D (and without buying a photo editing software for now! ;) )

RE: Ask your photo editing and Photoshop questions...

Hi Bee, I've just approved a bunch of new cards to the Customer Gallery...is this the card you're talking about?

http://www.lizzieannedesigns.com/sketchbook/gallery.asp?action=viewimage&categoryid=30&text=&imageid=687&box=&shownew=

It looks really good to me! Nice and crisp and the right size. I think that the blurriness you're seeing might be your monitor as you had suggested.

RE: Ask your photo editing and Photoshop questions...

I just have a basic system on my computer through "Microsoft picture it! Express 9" . For basic things like trimming, adjusting the lighting, or even adding text it's enough for me, but I can't find a way to downsize my pics. Do I really need to buy photoshop elements for that? I am seriously considering it though....;) I'm glad to see you recommend it...

ETA: Actually I found your tutorial to downsize the pics...I tried it and it worked I think but the thing is my pic is all blurry yucky on my computer since the resolution isn't that good anymore... It says here that it has been uploaded but it doesn't appear in the gallery, I guess maybe it takes a little while....

I'm wondering if it's blurry here too... :-(

RE: Ask your photo editing and Photoshop questions...

Ok....So I have Zoom Browser EX- came with my Canon. And I like it, I just cannot find a place where it can reduce my picture (or like you say dpi). I can "trim" the picture, is that the same?? Does that reduce the dpi??

Otherwise it does everything else I need it to do.

RE: Ask your photo editing and Photoshop questions...
Zee (1/27/2008)
First of all YAY! Thanks for adding this post, I need the help!
I purchased Photoshop about 2 weeks ago but I am scared by how 'grown up' it is! I am currently using Microsoft's Digital Imaging suite but it just isn't good enough, their auto fix buttons are TERRIBLE! Anyway, I was hoping someone could guide me through how to get started! Every time I plug in my camera a window pops up which looks like it wants to sort out my photos - hmmm. ANY help would be gratefully appreciated :D

Thanks

Zee
I'm pretty sure that the window you mentioned that pops up is just showing you the contents/photos on your memory card, and asking you what you want to do with them. Feel free to post any questions to this forum on specific Photoshop questions!
By the way, I highly recommend Photoshop Elements to anyone who is looking for a Digital Imaging Program. I use Photoshop CS3 but I think that Elements has all the bells and whistles you need for adjusting photos and it's much less expensive than the full Photoshop application.

RE: Ask your photo editing and Photoshop questions...

First of all YAY!
