Call Out Your Sketchbook Uploads!

Hey everyone,

If you've uploaded a sample to The Customer Gallery recently, use this thread to call it out so everyone can see it! (This will also help us keep track of what we need to go and "turn on" in the Sketchbook if we've missed your sample, and help us find new uploads for our monthly winner!)

List the name your card or project (the name you used in the upload) and your name too. If you already see it there, you can even link to it. If you don't see it there yet, we'll find it soon!

We are going to create subcategories soon for you to choose when uploading your samples (such as Holiday, Floral, etc.) This will help us organize all the customer uploads. Choose the category that you feel best fits your sample.

*A reminder to check the size of your photo! Make sure it's not more than 400px wide and 72dpi. We can resize your samples if they are too big, but this will delay the sample being published.*

Paper Piercing...

I have a question about paper piercing and thought I'd post that question right here! If you do paper piercing, do you put some kind of cushion behind your paper or card to help you keep the holes the same size, if that makes sense? Do you have a paper piercing kit you like to use? I use the piercer that I have in my Making Memories Toolkit but I cannot get those holes the same size...either the paper barely looks pierced at all or it goes all the way through the paper and leaves a big hole. I think I just need to be putting something different behind my paper....

Anyways any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated!

I can't decide which of the new releases to get first...*LOVE* the rockin' holiday, holiday script, holiday lane ( have a Christmas village!!) gizmos and gears, silent night, and all the rest of course!!

Kids say the darndest things

My son said something today that just cracked me up...I actually had to blog it. He hates it when I drag him all over the place to do errands (sorry kid, you're 5 years old so there's not much ya can do about it right now ;)) and today, after dragging him to Starbucks with me, he let me know that he was really too busy for all this running around and that I was cutting into his t.v. time.

ha ha ha!

Reading funny things that kids say make's me laugh, and I know anyone with kids or who have been around kids have got stories to share. Share em' here...I'm always up for a good laugh!

What fun things do you do at your card swaps?

I know some of you participate in monthly card swaps and and I was hoping to get some good ideas here. I'm holding my 2nd card swap at my home - you know...where everyone comes with 12 cards they made all the same and goes home with 12 different cards. Besides everyone sharing their cards and chatting about how things were done - what else do you do? I need some fun ideas. We have stamp camps here where people go to make cards, so that's not what this is about.

I'd appreciate any ideas!

L.A.D. Swap??

Hi everyone,

Is anyone interested in us organizing a monthly Lizzie Anne Designs Swap? This would work the same as other Swaps...(or R.A.K's) We'll compile a list of the people interested in partcipating and then post a list of names. The people participating will create a card for each person on the list (I usually choose a favorite design and mass-produce.) Then we'll email out the addresses to the people participating (we will not post your address!) and you mail out your cards to each person the list. In the end, you'll get a bunch of great cards and make new friends! It's a lot of fun!

CHA Chatter

What have we been up to lately you ask? That would be getting ready for CHA. And CHA stuff. And making stuff for CHA. And designing stuff for CHA. And getting our hair colored and cut so we can look our best at CHA. Did I mention we're getting ready for CHA?!

That's right folks, we are heading for CHA in TEN days, I can't believe it! And we'll be telling ya all about it right here in this thread.

I've attached a photo of us at CHA last year in front of our little booth. It was our first time exhibiting at CHA. We were downstairs in the New Exhibitors area. This year we are in a bigger booth and upstairs with the "grown-up" companies. My those little companies grow up fast! (tears, tears.) We are excited and hope we can compete with the mega-phone booths. (if you were at last years show you'll get that one!)

We are excited to meet:

Some members of our Design Team (finally!)
Kim and the team from My Favorite Things
Stampingbella and other stamping companies
Our retail store owners
Nichole Heady
Paper Crafts Magazine team and other media
Mickey Mouse (yes we're going to Disneyland too...good grief, it's across the street! We have to!)

I don't know about you, but I'm in the mood for love. Love-themed cards that is. ha ha. I have my monthly cardmaking night with my friends this weekend and I'm going to be making Valentines and sweet-heart, lovey dovey cards! I'm sure many of you are starting to make lovey dovey cards too...it's the season! Show me your Lizzie Anne sweet-heart cards right here, I'd love to see em!

How to Join our Forum

Hi Everyone,

If you'd like to become a member of our forum and start chatting and posting your L.A.D. samples, participate in our Sketch Challenges and online discussions, etc, all you need to do is click on the Register link up in the left-hand corner. Once you have submitted your information, you will receive an email with a link that you'll need to click to activate your membership. Then you'll be ready to go!

You can change your profile information (such as your profile image, avatar, Blog URL, birthday, etc.) by clicking on the Control Panel link once you've signed into your account.
